Spring Colors of the Western Balkans — 11 Day Tour
11 Days, Private JourneyAn 11-day private spring journey through four Balkan countries — from the still-thawing Black Lake of Durmitor and the primeval forest of Biogradska Gora, to the fortified stone streets of Kotor and Prizren, and the UNESCO lakeside town of Ohrid.
There is a version of the Western Balkans that only reveals itself once the snow melts and the wildflowers arrive. The trails of Durmitor and Biogradska Gora reopen beneath fresh green canopy. The Black Lake thaws, the Tara River runs high and fast, and migratory birds return to the reed beds of Lake Skadar. The old stone streets of Kotor and Prizren wake from winter into warm sunshine, still quiet before the summer crowds. This is spring in the Balkans — wild, green, and unhurried.
Spring Colors of the Western Balkans is an 11-day private journey through four countries, built for travelers drawn to genuine wilderness and centuries of history in equal measure. Over the course of this tour, you will hike beside a glacial lake still thawing from winter, raft-ready waters of the Tara Canyon, wander the fortified stone streets of Kotor and Prizren, and taste wine and rakia from small family cellars where flavor has never been sacrificed for volume. Every detail — the vehicle, the guide, the hotel, the table you sit at for dinner — has been chosen to the same standard: quietly excellent, never generic.

Why This Journey
What Makes This Journey Different
A private journey, start to finish.
You travel in a premium vehicle (Audi A8, Mercedes S-Class, or Mercedes V-Class, depending on group size) with your own licensed, multilingual guide-driver — never merged into a larger coach group, never on someone else's schedule.
Wild nature and old stone, in equal measure.
Genuine, undeveloped wilderness — Durmitor, Biogradska Gora, the Rugova Valley — alongside centuries-old towns that have barely changed, from Kotor's Venetian walls to Prizren's Ottoman quarter.
Genuine culinary experiences, not just meals.
A farm-to-table lunch at Mrizi i Zanave, a hands-on taste of vezhki me shpatë and fli in a Prizren courtyard, a wine tasting and lunch at a family winery in Ohrid, and a farewell dinner or craft beer tasting in Tirana.
Handled with care, down to the smallest logistics
Your first day is intentionally free of touring — a chance to rest after your flight before the journey begins in earnest the following morning. Every hotel is 4-5★ or a carefully chosen boutique property.
